A Bit About Morgan

Morgan has been working in the fitness and wellness industry for over 25 years. She first started teaching Chinese Kempo Karate at the age of 16. When she attended  Austin College as a freshman in 1998, she started teaching Cardio Kickboxing. Now fellow group instructor, Teresa, introduced her to the world of step and her lifelong passion for group fitness began.

Morgan taught at Nautilus for 10 years and then moved to the Grand Canyon National Park for a year, where she continued teaching yoga classes. Upon returning to Grayson County, Morgan helped ignite a fitness movement in the nearby town of Gunter by opening a group fitness studio and gym. After leading the group fitness program in Gunter for 10 years, Morgan returned to Nautilus in 2021 to be a part of the Les Mills launch team and has been having fun with the Nauti fam ever since!

For Morgan, Group Fitness very literally saved her life. When she was 7 months pregnant with her second son, she had a pregnancy complication that was life threatening to both of them. The doctors informed her that her physical health and fitness is what saved their life. From that experience, they discovered it was a blood clotting issue that was the underlying cause and from there on out Morgan knew she had to always keep moving to help her circulation. Even if this had not happened, she knows that no matter how tired, sore or cranky Morgan may feel, she will ALWAYS feel better after smiling, laughing and sweating TOGETHER with her fitness friends!

When she’s not teaching classes, Morgan can be found teaching high school Spanish, taking her family and students on trips around the world, camping and hiking with her family and  attending her sons’ band concerts and soccer games. In all her free time, she loves to do DIY remodel projects and in the winter, curling up on the couch in front of the fireplace with a cup of hot tea and a cross-stitch project is a favorite calming activity.
